A Reward....
She had cancer of eye, declared hopeless by the conventional doctors, and she herself was not ready for any aggressive therapy as few years ago she lost her husband due to cancer despite of the most advanced treatment and she believed the causes of sufferings for him were equally due to side effects...
She came to me in early days of my Cancer Foundation when I was full of self doubts, lacking confidence and was not sure of treatment outcome and her physical condition as well a large, non healing ulcer over the eyeball, almost entire eye was eaten up, were enough to frighten me...
But both of us had no alternate. And I started treating her.
After 1 month her son asked me with so much surprise in his eyes that what you are giving her...in spite of her ulcer being he same, she is so cheerful now, her monthly mobile bill has reached till 1000 rs, she keeps on chattering and asks for various dainties like ice cream, chocolates, sweets to me to bring for her daily.... my father too had cancer but he kept on sighing and suffering , but since your treatment , it seems my mother is celebrating the life, n now she wants me to take her to Delhi in her old Maholla to meet old her friends and relatives... vintage inspired wears for maid of honor in tea length
And I advised him to do so...n they went there and she stayed at her old home for 15 days which she visited after many years...
After her return, the ulcer worsened but with minimal discomfort to her...then for 2 months, there was no news from her...
One day her son called me informing about her demise which I suspected..but then added...after we came back from Delhi...gradually she lessened her food and kept on sleeping for hours...at last she stopped talking, taking all food, water and slept for continuous 2 days...then woke up, asked for some water and said convey my " Jay Shri Krishna" ( Greetings on the name of God) to my homeopathic doctor ....these were her last words, she fell asleep after and then never woke again....
If my heart had eyes, they were wet... after hearing that my patient whom I met only once( his son only kept on coming to take further medicines) remembered me while passing away and I was in her last words...
And for me this was the greatest "Reward" to have as a doctor, a clear acknowledgement to my self doubting mind about the role of homeopathy in palliating the terminally ill patients ...and it has certainly kept on on motivating me in spite of many hurdles and failures...!!
